The bag can be washed by hand or in the washing machine at a temperature of 60°C. The bag can also serve as a cost-effective alternative to the press to extract juice from fruit after a pre-maceration or fermentation phase.
Use of the filter bag:
It is recommended to pre-cool the liquors before filtration in order to bring the impurities together into larger "lumps" and thus increase the filtration efficiency. After pouring the liquid into the bag, you can hang it, for example, on a string by the handles attached to it and let the liquid drain by gravity. The liquid will slowly flow through the top of the bag, and the impurities will settle on its sides. When decanting wine, it is recommended to place the bag on a funnel. To increase the efficiency of the process, the bag can be "rotated" around its own axis.
Danger:
The bag can be washed in the washing machine at a temperature of 60°C. After washing with detergents, the bag must be rinsed thoroughly to ensure that no residues get into the drinks during filtration.
